We’re super chuffed to tell you that Glasgow Music City Tours are running a series of brand new Trad Trail walking tours as part of Celtic Connections in 2016.

Focusing on Glasgow’s trad, roots and folk scene, the two hour tours share tales of the songwriters and storytellers who have shaped the city’s vibrant folk culture.

Expect Humblebums, bikers and music hall heroes among many other stories.

The tours run on the following Fridays and Saturdays: 15/16, 22/23, 29/30 January.

Book tickets

Walks will start at 2pm from City Halls on Candleriggs. You can book tickets from Celtic Connections here.

We know that no-one expects to top up their tan in January in Glasgow so the tours have been designed to take in plenty of indoor stops.

Of course, there will be the opportunity to warm your hands on a cup of coffee. Or something stronger. Either way, wrap up warm.

Fingers crossed but we expect a lot of demand for these tours and suggest that you book ’em early.

If you have already been on our Merchant City Music tour, the Trad Trail covers some of the same route but with significantly different content.

Our scheduled tours will be on hold during January. Normal service will be resumed on Friday 5th February when our first Merchant City Music – Past and Present tour will get underway.
