Creeping Bent – A Leap Into the Void by Douglas MacIntyre

The Creeping Bent Organisation will undertake final actions at the end of this year, bringing to an end a 30-year project.

During this period Douglas MacIntyre was the head of operations, wearing several hats to help guide and develop the label’s aesthetic. To mark the end of the label Douglas has written Creeping Bent – A Leap Into The Void recounting the trials, tribulations and successes of the last 30 years. It’s a great read and available now from Last Night From Glasgow

Douglas will be appearing at Aye Write on Thursday 13th November for Action, Time, Vision with Katy Lironi and Grant McPhee in conversation with Nicola Meighan.

Three book covers displayed: 'Caledonia Dreaming,' 'Matilda in the Middle,' and 'Creeping Bent: A Leap Into the Void.'

To conclude this final, busy year Creeping Bent will undertake final actions. On Friday 12th December at Mono in Glasgow an event ‘Creeping Bent: The End of Definition’ will feature a plethora of Creeping Bent adjunct artists performing 4 song sets. This will be followed by dancing and action into the small hours to tunes supplied by DJs Bobby Bluebell, Divine, Gerry Love and Stephen Pastel. Port Sulphur, The Leopards, The Bluebells, The Secret Goldfish, Radhika & Future Pilot AKA and QUAD90 will all be performing live.

On Saturday 13th December the action moves to Edinburgh College of Art’s Wee Red Bar and features The Nectarine No 9, Gareth Sager, Mackenzies and The Sexual Objects: tix and info here

It’s been quite a 30 years and a real labour of love, we wish Douglas, Katy and all the gang our congratulations and good luck for future ventures.
