Here we go… scheduled tours launch this weekend
It has been a beezer week for Glasgow Music City Tours.
Yesterday, we finished our last of four special tours for Merchant City Festival.
We had lots of guests come out on tour with us and our TripAdvisor reviews are all glowing with good comments.
We finished each tour with a concert from special guests at Mono.
Many thanks to Miracle Strip, Spinning Coin, Breakfast Muff and Sound of Yell for playing for us. Of course, we would also like to thank Mono for hosting us and helping to put the gigs on.
Lots of people were also very generous and donated fantastic raffle prizes for us. We raised £185 for Nordoff-Robbins thanks to both the prize donors and the many Mono customers who put their hands in their pockets for raffle tickets.
Tours launch
From Friday, we start our scheduled tours. Every Friday, at 2pm, we will be meeting at The Victoria/Clutha and taking our guests on a two hour tour of the Merchant City and East End.
On Saturdays, we meet at noon in the north foyer (off Killermont Street) of Glasgow Royal Concert Hall for our city centre tour.
Our two hour tour of Glasgow’s Music Mile ends at King Tut’s where guests are welcome to clamber on stage and pretend they are Blur/Paolo/Manic Street Preachers (delete as applicable).
We have lots more info about both tours and you can also buy tickets here.
Both tours are great fun as well as being informative, entertaining and so on.
Herald article
But then we would say that, wouldn’t we? So this is what Nicola Meighan had to say about us in today’s Herald.
Check the blog later on this week when we will have a guest blog from the one and only Roddy Frame ahead of his Magners Summer Nights gig this weekend.
