Looking forward to 2021 for our Glasgow walking tours

Well, that was a strange year for our tours. And everything else in the world.

Because of you-know-what, our season didn’t start until August this year and, to be honest, we didn’t know if anybody would want to come out on our walking tours.

We had capped numbers, done risk assessments and satisfied the government’s Good to Go Covid mitigation scheme but we still weren’t sure if there was any appetite among our customers to walk around Glasgow’s musical landscape with us.

Happily, lots of you were very keen to get out and about in the fresh air once more. Our guides were delighted to be doing tours again and, from feedback, customers really enjoyed them.

We know it sounds corny but our guides genuinely enjoy taking the tours. They enjoy the interaction with the guests and hearing their gig stories and musical memories. We miss it when we are not doing it so thanks to those of you who came out on a walk.

Christmas gift vouchers

Our season has closed now but we will be back from Easter 2021. If you fancy coming on a tour or know someone who might appreciate a music tour then we are currently selling 2 person vouchers for our Music Mile or Merchant city Music tours at £28; a saving of £8 on the standard adult price.

They make great Christmas presents.

Of course, no-one knows how things will pan out over the next few months so this is where we stand on things like rebooking, voucher validity and getting into partner venues.

This year, we were briefly able to go inside our partner venue Nice ‘n’ Sleazy but could not get access to King Tut’s, the CCA or Panopticon. We hope that the situation will have improved by April but, obviously, it is beyond our control. Whether we get access or not, we always have all the stories from these great venues.

Extended validity

In terms of voucher validity, cancellations and rebookings, we will be as flexible as you need us to be. We think a number of you have unredeemed vouchers sold in 2019. They will be valid next year. That also goes for our vouchers purchased via 5pm.

If you need to cancel a booking, we understand. Just let us know and we will rebook you on a date that suits.

Naturally, our tours will conform to whatever health and safety regulations are in force when we run them.

We hope to see you on tour in 2021. Fingers crossed it will be a lot less eventful than 2020.
