Tenement and Temple

two musicians singing and playing the guitar

Tenement and Temple are Monica Queen (“one of the greatest singers ever” Gary Lightbody- Snow Patrol) and guitarist, producer and writer Johnny Smillie, both formerly of country-indie pioneers, Thrum.

This weekend, drawing on influences including Elvis, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, The Everly Brothers and Emmy Lou Harris, they indulge their love of guitars and harmony with two special shows.

They perform at The Seven Song Club in the Vic Bar at Tron Theatre, Glasgow on Friday 8th and on Sunday 10th they’re in London at Come Down & Meet The Folks.
