Tenement TV: Guest blog Nadine Walker
At Glasgow Music City Tours we’re always proud to highlight what our musical partners in the city are up to, and we’re delighted welcome to our guest bloggers this week, Tenement TV.
This weekend will mark the third consecutive Tenement Trail Festival. Created by and for the music fans in Scotland, Tenement Trail is a unique, underground, multi-venue city music festival featuring a mix of fresh, new and exciting bands along with those already selling out venues around Scotland. Thanks to the Nadine Walker at TTV for taking the time to blog and for the info about where you can still snap up tickets… Good Luck this weekend!
At Tenement TV, we believe we have transformed a quirky idea into a pioneering platform offering fans of music a unique multimedia creative unit driven out of passion for the music scene in Scotland and beyond. Based in the heart of Glasgow’s west end, we record acoustic sessions live in Scotland with the very best in the business as well as nurturing a successful website packed with news, photography, festival coverage and reviews.
Using our creative eye and knowledge of what’s hot in music, we’ve recorded sessions with the likes of the Mercury Music Prize shortlisted Jake Bugg, chart-topping artist Hozier, British indie breakthrough band Catfish And The Bottlemen, American rockers Cage The Elephant, number one selling artist Bastille, Irish lads Kodaline and Scotland’s talented singer-songwriter Nina Nesbitt to name a few.
At Tenement TV HQ we are always looking for the next big thing, developing ideas into creative pieces of content or visual stories, working tirelessly to help uncover exciting stories in music and generally leaving no stone unturned in our journalistic endeavors. The small independent team that work at TTV are masters at developing innovative ideas and we are always looking to grow our creative vision.
We are extremely proud of partnerships with the likes of Tennent’s Lager; TTV record packages for the breakthrough music stage T Break at Scotland’s biggest Festival, T in the Park and has done since 2013. Tennent’s Lager also sponsors our multi-venue music festival, Tenement Trail. This October will see the third annual event that features over 40 bands, across six venues and 12 hours in Glasgow.
Tenement Trail is a unique event, which is set to celebrate and cultivate the unique underground music scene in Scotland, bringing it to the forefront.
Spanning across six of Glasgow’s most famous live music venues, TT15 acts will take to the stage of The Art School, King Tuts, O2 ABC2, Broadcast, Nice N Sleazy and Flat 0/1.
Bands set to play this year’s event are some of the very best in the underground scene, creating a line-up packed full of acts who are currently creating a stir on the live circuit. Newcomers WHITE will headline The Art School and the 12 hours of live music will see everyone from Neon Waltz, Crash Club, Be Charlotte, Holy Esque, WOMPS and Laura St Jude play.
